Tovino Thomas plays the role of a struggling filmmaker. Pairing up with him are Anu Sithara and an actor from abroad, whose name is not known yet. And The Oscar Goes To has a very talented technical crew with Bijibal roped in to score the music, Madhu Ambat for cinematography and Oscar winning sound engineer Resul Pookutty for sound mixing and designing. According to reports, a major portion of the film will be shot in the US and Canada and the locations have been earmarked for it.
