Royal Rumble (2007) was the twentieth annual Royal Rumble PPV. It took place on January 28, 2007 at the AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas and featured talent from the Raw, SmackDown! and ECW brands. The main event was the annual 30-man Royal Rumble match, which featured wrestlers from all three brands. The primary match on the Raw brand was a Last Man Standing match for the WWE Championship between John Cena and Umaga. The predominant match on the SmackDown! brand was Batista versus Mr. Kennedy for the World Heavyweight Championship. The featured match on the ECW brand was between Bobby Lashley and Test for the ECW World Championship.

The Great American Bash (2007) was the fourth annual Great American Bash PPV. It was presented by Ziddio and took place on July 22, 2007 from the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California and featured talent from the Raw, SmackDown!, and ECW brands. The main match on the Raw brand was John Cena versus Bobby Lashley for the WWE Championship. The predominant match on the SmackDown! brand was a Triple Threat match for the World Heavyweight Championship between The Great Khali, Batista and Kane. The primary match on the ECW brand was John Morrison versus CM Punk for the ECW Championship. The featured matches on the undercard included Montel Vontavious Porter versus Matt Hardy for the WWE United States Championship and Randy Orton versus Dusty Rhodes in a Texas Bullrope match.

WrestleMania 23 was the twenty-third annual WrestleMania PPV. It took place on April 1, 2007 at Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan. The event was a joint-brand pay-per-view, featuring performers from the Raw, SmackDown!, and ECW brands. The main match on the Raw brand was John Cena versus Shawn Michaels for the WWE Championship. The predominant match on the SmackDown! brand was Batista versus The Undertaker for the World Heavyweight Championship. The primary match on the ECW brand was an Eight Man Tag Team match between The ECW Originals and The New Breed. Cyber Sunday (2006) was the first annual Cyber Sunday PPV. It took place on November 5, 2006 at the U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati, Ohio replacing Taboo Tuesday. This event had the unique feature of being interactive. Fans could vote for selective characteristics in the scheduled matches, including opponents, stipulations, match types, etc. The voting for the event started on October 16, 2006, and ended during the event. The main event was the "Champion of Champions" match, between WWE's three top champions. The three champions in the match were WWE Champion John Cena, World Heavyweight Champion King Booker, and ECW World Champion The Big Show. The fans could vote for who would defend their championship in this match. The predominant match on the card was D-Generation X versus Rated-RKO. The featured matches on the undercard were Jeff Hardy versus Carlito for the WWE Intercontinental Championship and Lita versus Mickie James in a Diva Lumberjack match for the WWE Women's Championship.

Survivor Series (2006) was a PPV presented by THQ's WWE SmackDown vs Raw 2007. It was the twentieth annual Survivor Series event, and it took place on November 26, 2006 at the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The main match on the SmackDown brand was King Booker versus Batista for the World Heavyweight Championship. The main match on the Raw and ECW brand was Team Cena (John Cena, Bobby Lashley, Kane, Sabu and Rob Van Dam) versus Team Big Show (Big Show, Test, Finlay, Montel Vontavious Porter and Umaga) in a 5 on 5 Survivor Series match. WWE Velocity was a professional wrestling television program produced by World Wrestling Entertainment. It replaced two syndicated WWE shows, Jakked/Metal. Once a weekly Saturday night show on Spike TV and on Sky Sports 2 in the UK on Sunday mornings, Velocity became a webcast from 2005 to 2006. The newest episode would be uploaded to WWE.com on Saturdays and be available for the next week. Older webcast episodes were also archived. It was the counterpart show to WWE SmackDown and WWE Raw and was recorded before the television taping of SmackDown.

ECW on TNN was an American professional wrestling television program that aired on The Nashville Network. Created by Paul Heyman, the owner of Extreme Championship Wrestling, it presented original ECW matches on Friday nights and was the only national television program in ECW's history. It debuted on August 27, 1999- five years to the date that Shane Douglas threw down the NWA World Heavyweight Championship and rechristened ECW as Extreme Championship Wrestling. The final episode aired on October 6, 2000.

SuperBrawl VIII took place on February 22, 1998 from the Cow Palace in San Francisco, California. A match was scheduled between Larry Zbyszko and Louie Spicolli; it was canceled following Spicolli's death a week before the pay-per view. The main event was Sting vs Hollywood Hogan rematch (technically 2nd rematch as there was an audio only ppv the month before with a Steel Cage match between the two) for the vacant WCW World Heavyweight Championship. The WCW World Tag Team Titles were also on the line as The Steiner Brothers defended against The Outsiders. Other matches included Lex Luger vs Randy Savage, Diamond Dallas Page defending the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship against Chris Benoit, Steve McMichael vs British Bulldog, Chris Jericho vs Juventud Guerrera in a Title versus Mask match for the WCW Cruiserweight Championship, Goldberg vs Brad Armstrong, and 3 other matches.

Uncensored 1998 took place on March 15, 1998 from the Mobile Civic Center in Mobile, Alabama. The double main event was Hollywood Hogan versus Randy Savage in a Steel Cage match and Sting defending the WCW World Heavyweight Championship against Scott Hall. Also on the card was Curt Hennig vs Bret Hart, The Giant vs Kevin Nash, Diamond Dallas Page defending the WCW United States Championship against Raven and Chris Benoit, Scott Steiner vs Lex Luger, Chris Jericho defending the WCW Cruiserweight Championship against Dean Malenko, Juventud Guerrera vs Konnan, and Booker T defending the WCW World Television Championship against Eddie Guerrero.

Souled Out 1998 took place on January 24, 1998 from the Hara Arena in Dayton, Ohio and featured a double main event. The first main event was Bret Hart versus Ric Flair and the second was Randy Savage versus Lex Luger. Also on the card was Kevin Nash (with Hollywood Hogan and Eric Bischoff) versus The Giant, The nWo (Konnan, Scott Norton & Buff Bagwell) versus The Steiner Brothers & Ray Traylor, Scott Hall vs Larry Zbyszko, Booker T defending the WCW World Television Championship against Rick Martel, Rey Mysterio, Jr. defending the WCW Cruiserweight Championship against Chris Jericho, Raven versus Chris Benoit in a Raven's Rules match, and an 8-Man Tag Team luchador match between Juventud Guerrera, Super Calo, Lizmark Jr. & Chavo Guerrero versus La Parka, Psychosis, Silver King & El Dandy.

WCW All Nighter is a late night special that originally aired at midnight on Saturday morning January 21, 1995. The show opened with Tony Schiavone, Bobby Heenan, Larry Zbyszko, Gene Okerlund, Gordon Solie and Dusty Rhodes in the Omni Hotel in Atlanta. During the broadcast, they counted down the 10 best Clash of the Champions matches.

Fall Brawl 1994: War Games took place on September 18, 1994 from the Roanoke Civic Center in Roanoke, Virginia. The main event was the annual War Games match in which Team Rhodes (The Nasty Boys, Dusty Rhodes, and Dustin Rhodes) took on The Stud Stable (Terry Funk, Arn Anderson, Bunkhouse Buck, and Col. Robert Parker). This match was re-broadcast on the final edition of WCW WorldWide. Sting, The Guardian Angel, and Vader wrestled in a Triangle Elimination match, and Pretty Wonderful defended the WCW World tag Team Championships against Stars and Stripes. Steve Austin was scheduled to take on Rick Steamboat for his WCW US Heavyweight Championship, however Steamboat was injured, fired, and then retired. Austin got the belt by forfeit and then had to defend it against a mystery opponent. In a Loser Leaves WCW match, Kevin Sullivan took on Cactus Jack.

WWE Raw is a professional wrestling television program that currently airs live on Monday evenings on the USA Network in the United States. The show debuted on January 11, 1993. WWE Raw moved from the USA Network to TNN in September, 2000 and then to Spike TV in August, 2003 when TNN was rebranded. On October 3, 2005 WWE Raw returned to the USA Network. Since its first episode, WWE Raw has broadcast live from 203 different arenas in 169 cities and towns in ten different nations. As of the show's 1,000th episode, airing on July 23, 2012, WWE Raw has become a three-hour broadcast from two-hours, a format that had previously been reserved for special episodes.

ECW Hardcore TV is a professional wrestling television program of Philadelphia-based promotion Extreme Championship Wrestling composed of footage from live shows and recorded interviews. It ran in syndication from 1993 until 2000. Even after ECW gained a nationally-available television program on The Nashville Network, Hardcore TV was considered ECW's flagship program. The rights to the show now belong to World Wrestling Entertainment. The show was voted as Best Weekly Television Show in the 1994, 1995 and 1996 Wrestling Observer Newsletter Awards.

Featured matches on the undercard were The Ultimate Warrior versus Sgt. Slaughter for the WWF Championship, Ted DiBiase and Virgil versus Dusty Rhodes and Dustin Rhodes and The Mountie versus Koko B. Ware.

Royal Rumble (1990) was the third annual Royal Rumble professional wrestling pay-per-view event produced by the World Wrestling Federation. It took place on January 21, 1990 at the Orlando Arena in Orlando, Florida. The main event was the 1990 Royal Rumble match won by WWF Champion Hulk Hogan. Hogan last eliminated Mr. Perfect to win the match. Featured matches on the undercard were Jim Duggan versus The Big Boss Man, Ronnie Garvin versus Greg Valentine in an "I Quit" match and The Bushwhackers (Butch and Luke) versus The Fabulous Rougeaus (Jacques and Raymond).

WrestleMania VI was the sixth WrestleMania professional wrestling pay-per-view event and the first to be held outside of the U.S. It took place on April 1, 1990 at the SkyDome in Toronto, Ontario with an announced then Skydome attendance record of 67,678. The event is arguably best remembered for "The Ultimate Challenge" - the main event match which saw Hulk Hogan (WWF Champion) vs The Ultimate Warrior (WWF Intercontinental Champion), in which both championship titles were on the line. On February 3, 1990, a week after Hogan and Warrior crossed paths in the 1990 Royal Rumble Match, Hogan put forth "The Ultimate Challenge" to the Warrior, and had to know whether Hulkamania or the power of the Warrior was the strongest force in the World Wrestling Federation. At WrestleMania VI, Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake was the first person to pin Mr. Perfect in a televised match, thus ending Perfect's lengthy undefeated streak.

SummerSlam (1990) was the third annual SummerSlam professional wrestling pay-per-view produced by the World Wrestling Federation (WWF). It took place on August 27, 1990 at The Spectrum in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The card featured ten televised matches, including two main events. The Ultimate Warrior successfully defended his WWF Championship against Rick Rude in a steel cage match, and Hulk Hogan defeated Earthquake by countout. The pay-per-view also included two other title matches. Mr. Perfect lost his WWF Intercontinental Championship to the Texas Tornado, who was a substitute for Brutus Beefcake, who had been injured in a real-life accident. The Hart Foundation won the WWF Tag Team Championship from Demolition in a two out of three falls match.

Survivor Series (1989) was the third annual Survivor Series professional wrestling pay-per-view event produced by the World Wrestling Federation (WWF). It took place on Thanksgiving Day, November 23, 1989 at the Rosemont Horizon in Rosemont, Illinois. This was the first Survivor Series event to feature team names. It was also the first Survivor Series to feature four-on-four tag matches instead of five-on-five. The main event was a four-on-four Survivor Series match where The Ultimate Warriors (WWF Intercontinental Champion The Ultimate Warrior, The Rockers (Shawn Michaels and Marty Jannetty) and Jim Neidhart) defeated The Heenan Family (Bobby Heenan, Colossal Connection (André the Giant and Haku) and Arn Anderson). The undercard also featured Survivor Series matches.

Bunkhouse Stampede 1988 was the fourth and final professional wrestling Bunkhouse Stampede event produced by Jim Crockett Promotions under the NWA banner and it was the only Bunkhouse Stampede event to air as a PPV event. The event took place on January 24, 1988 from the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, NY. The main event was a Steel Cage Bunkhouse Stampede featuring Arn Anderson, Tully Blanchard, Dusty Rhodes, The Barbarian, Lex Luger, Ivan Koloff, Road Warrior Animal and The Warlord. The Great American Bash (1988) was the fourth annual Great American Bash professional wrestling event produced by Jim Crockett Promotions under the NWA banner and the first to be produced as a pay-per-view event. It took place on July 10, 1988 at the Baltimore Arena in Baltimore, Maryland. The main event was a standard wrestling match for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship between Ric Flair and Lex Luger for the title when the match was stopped due to Luger's excessive bleeding. Featured matches were Barry Windham versus Dusty Rhodes for the NWA US Heavyweight Championship, Road Warriors, Steve Williams, Jimmy Garvin and Ron Garvin versus Kevin Sullivan, Mike Rotunda, Al Perez, Russian Assassin and Ivan Koloff in a Tower of Doom match, The Fantastics versus Midnight Express for the NWA United States Tag Team Championship and Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard versus Sting and Nikita Koloff for the NWA World Tag Team Championship.

Starrcade '88 was the sixth annual Starrcade professional wrestling PPV event produced under the NWA banner. It was the first Starrcade event produced by World Championship Wrestling, and it took place on December 26, 1988 from the Norfolk Scope in Norfolk, Virginia. Shortly before the event, Ted Turner bought Jim Crockett Promotions, and the company became WCW. The main event was an over 30 minute bout between Ric Flair and Lex Luger for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship. Other matches included the Road Warriors against Sting and Dusty Rhodes for the NWA World Tag Team Championship, Barry Windham against Bam Bam Bigelow for the NWA United States Heavyweight Championship, and Mike Rotunda against Rick Steiner for the NWA World Television Championship.

Clash of the Champions II took place on June 8, 1988 at the James L. Knight Center in Miami, Florida. There were 2400 people in attendance and the show drew a 4.8 rating on TBS. Throughout the show, wrestlers were being interviewed as they arrived to the building, most notably, Lex Luger who was attacked by the Four Horsemen and was busted open after being slammed head first into the trunk of his limo. This was a big deal at the time as it was the first time Luger had bled while in the NWA. This would also be an important factor in the conclusion of Luger's match against Ric Flair at the 1988 Great American Bash PPV.

Starrcade '87 was the fifth annual Starrcade professional wrestling event produced by Jim Crockett Promotions under the National Wrestling Alliance banner. It took place on November 26, 1987 from the UIC Pavilion in Chicago, Illinois. It was the first NWA event to be broadcast on pay-per-view. The main event was a steel cage match between Ric Flair and Ron Garvin for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship. The event also included a steel cage match between Dusty Rhodes and Lex Luger for the NWA United States Heavyweight Championship, a match between the Road Warriors and the team of Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard for the NWA World Tag Team Championship, and a match between Nikita Koloff and Terry Taylor to unify the NWA World Television Championship and the UWF World Television Championship.

This was the first use of the WarGames: The Match Beyond match conceived by Dusty Rhodes. Rhodes was on the winning side in both events along with the Road Warriors, Nikita Koloff and Paul Ellering. Koloff, Rhodes and J.J. Dillon sustained serious injuries in the first encounter. The Bash series took place in numerous venues all July long, starting in Landover, Maryland at the Capital Centre on July 2.

The second Jim Crockett Sr. Memorial Cup Tag Team Tournament was held over two nights, April 10 and 11, 1987. The tournament included 24 tag teams.

Starrcade (1986): Night of the Skywalkers took place on November 27, 1986 from the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina and The Omni in Atlanta, Georgia. The event was held in two locations with 6 matches on each card. The commercially available video took the top 3 matches from each card and combined them into one event. The main event wasthe NWA World Heavyweight Champion, Ric Flair, versus the NWA United States Champion, Nikita Koloff. Magnum T.A. was due to wrestle Flair, but was in a career ending car wreck. The second main event was a Skywalkers match between The Road Warriors and The Midnight Express.

The Bash rolls into Charlotte's Memorial Stadium for a red-hot night of action!

Jim Crockett Promotions used "The Great American Bash" as the name for a tour that had several PPV caliber shows around the country. In 1986, there were 13 Great American Bashes and NWA World Heavyweight Champion Ric Flair defended his title at each one against Ricky Morton, Road Warrior Hawk, Ron Garvin, Nikita Koloff, Robert Gibson, Road Warrior Animal, Magnum T.A., Wahoo McDaniel and Dusty Rhodes. Rhodes defeated him for the title at the July 26 Bash. Flair challenged for it on the last Bash on August 2. Nikita Koloff and Magnum T.A. were involved in a best of seven title match series throughout the Bash for the U.S. Title.

The first Jim Crockett Sr. Memorial Cup Tag Team Tournament was held on April 19, 1986. The tournament featured 24 tag teams.

Starrcade '85: The Gathering was the third annual Starrcade professional wrestling event produced by Jim Crockett Promotions under the NWA banner. It took place on November 28, 1985 from the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina and The Omni in Atlanta, Georgia. The main event was between Ric Flair and Dusty Rhodes for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship. Their feud escalated when Flair broke Rhodes' ankle in September. After the event, Flair formed the Four Horsemen stable, and continued to feud with Rhodes. Other matches included Magnum T.A. and Tully Blanchard in an "I Quit" steel cage match for the NWA United States Heavyweight Championship, and The Rock 'n' Roll Express and the team of Ivan and Nikita Koloff in a Steel Cage Match for the NWA World Tag Team Championship.

Saturday Night's Main Event was a professional wrestling television program produced by WWE. It aired occasionally from 1985 to 1992, under the World Wrestling Federation banner on NBC in place of Saturday Night Live. At the time of the original airing it was a rare example of professional wrestling being broadcast on an over-the-air commercial television network after the 1950s. Starrcade '83: A Flair for the Gold was the first annual Starrcade professional wrestling event. It was produced under the NWA banner by Jim Crockett Promotions. The event took place on November 24, 1983 at the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, NC and was broadcast on closed-circuit television around the Southern United States. The main event was a steel cage match where Ric Flair fought Harley Race for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship. Their feud began after Race won the title from Flair in June. Race then offered a bounty to have Flair put out of professional wrestling. In August, prior to the event, Bob Orton, Jr. and Dick Slater attacked Flair, appearing to inflict on him a career-ending injury. Flair announced his retirement, but returned shortly after. The event also included a match featuring Ricky Steamboat and Jay Youngblood against Jack and Jerry Brisco for the NWA World Tag Team Championship and a Dog Collar match between Roddy Piper and Greg Valentine.
