The Great Patriotic War. 1945 year. There are fights for the city on the Danube. The river is mined by the Germans, and this fetters the action of our troops. In addition, a city with a million people was left without food. And downstream are Soviet food barges. The command instructs the reconnaissance group a difficult and dangerous operation — to obtain from the enemy a map of the mined sections of the river, which requires penetrating into the city captured by the Germans.

In 1960, in Moscow, numerous cases of infection with purple pox were recorded. According to doctors, the virus came from eastern countries. In order not to create panic among the population, they tried to hide the fact of the epidemic. Doctors tried to cope with the disease, but the number of deaths increased, and information inexorably leaked into society ...

All the years spent behind the school bench, they were devoted to the dream of flying. And now they are again students, but they are solving completely different problems. Three young daredevils conquer the sky, forgetting about earthly problems and disputes. But the everyday life of test pilots of supersonic fighters is unpredictable and dangerous. A routine training flight overnight can be a harsh test of courage for them. Today, future aces will face a difficult exam, for which life itself will put a mark.
