Fred Flarsky is a gifted and free-spirited journalist who has a knack for getting into trouble. When Fred unexpectedly runs into Charlotte, he soon realizes that she was his former baby sitter and childhood crush. During a small gathering, a smooth, seductive stranger is invited into a couple's house party and falls in love with the wife. Turns out the stranger is an escaped convict who demands that the wife leave the country with him and threatens to kill anyone who stands in his way.
