A cinema verite portrait of the recording of Zevon's swansong album: 'The Wind' - the twelfth and final studio album by Warren Zevon, was released 11 years ago today (26 August 2003). Zevon began recording the album shortly after he was diagnosed with inoperable plural mesothelioma (a cancer of the lining of the lung), and it was released just two weeks before his death on September 7, 2003. The album was awarded the Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Folk Album.

Hosted by Billy Bob Thornton, the program features interviews with Jackson Browne, Stevie Nicks and Mick Fleetwood, among others.

The foul-mouthed, wheelchair-bound Mr. Rush introduces three adventure tales based on the EC comics of the 1950's. A 1992 star-studded made-for-tv film which was an attempt to launch a second series in the mold of Tales From The Crypt. When this failed to launch, the three tales were re-edited and shown as Crypt episodes.

Jake and Kristy Briggs are newlyweds. Being young, they are perhaps a bit unprepared for the full reality of marriage and all that it (and their parents) expect from them. Do they want babies? Their parents certainly want them to. Is married life all that there is? Things certainly aren't helped by Jake's friend Davis, who always seems to turn up just in time to put a spanner in the works.
