In 2013, the Golden Horse Film Festival celebrated its 50th anniversary. The ministry of Culture commissioned director Yang Li-chou to make a documentary about the history of Golden Horse. What is unique to this film is that it's not an ode to celebrities but about the role cinema plays in ordinary people's lives. It's a love letter to cinema, filmmakers and audiences.

His former mistress now rules the underworld and she plays the various fractions against each other to maintain her power. One of the local drug lords has hired vampires to protect him and keep his drug smuggling business thriving. The vampires pop up around town as they, along with various other thugs, try to knock off Steven Cox and find the whereabouts to his gold. There is a stranger in town that dresses up like a space age super hero who aligns himself with Steven Cox as they take on together the corrupt underworld. A cut n paste movie that uses footage from The Stunning Gambling (Taiwan) and Giant of Casino (HK).

A housewife whose life only revolves her husband finds herself being cheated. She becomes angry and neurotic and can't accept the fact at all. Finally, she realizes that the only choice she has is to compromise and to forgive, but it was already too late.

In one of her first film appearances Yukari plays an undercover Japanese criminal police officer investigating the gang led by Yamashita (Yasuaki Kurata). As in most of these Taiwanese films, slapstick comedy alternates with intense action. An absurd plot has something to do with missing bullion and a treasure map. Yamashita’s gang wants it, and so do an unlikely band of heroes, including an incompetent traffic cop, his cop wannabe girl friend, and a couple of card sharks who have teamed up with an infatuated gas station owner. Some of Taiwan’s best action actors provide excellent kung fu action.

Arriving in Taiwan in the 1950s, Kuei-mei makes a disadvantageous marriage to a widower with three unruly kids and a bad gambling habit. Beautifully portrayed by celebrated actress Yang, she weathers pregnancies, her husband's infidelity, her daughter's resentment, a stint as servant in Japan, divorce, and illness while struggling to keep the family restaurant business afloat.

Of course the gangsters capture Meifeng and turn her into a prostitute and Ling tries to save her but loses an eye in the process. What is she to do? Dress in bikinis made out of bandages, put on an eyepatch, and recruit friends who are out for vengeance, too. Like a virtual tour of Japan where every tourist attraction is a chance for revenge, Ling sees Mount Fuji, Sumo games, hot spring baths and even goes to Harajuku before taking the gangsters apart with flying fists, feet, and swords."
