Just after getting into high school, Kasumi comes across a "star-shaped guitar" in the storage area of an old pawn shop. The story centers around class 1-7 of Tennomifune Academy, where all the students with "bad karma" or misfortune seem to have been gathered. Hibari, a student in this class, meets the unlucky Hanako and the perennially unhealthy Botan on her first day of school, and together they try to find a way to turn their school life into a happy one.
In the Four Islands Archipelago, people can use Grav-Shoes to fly around! This is the story of Asuka Kurashina, a transfer student that arrives at Kunahama Academy from outside the Four Islands. After seeing the ability of wearers to soar in the sky, she quickly develops an interest in flying with the Grav-Shoes and also joins the school's FC (Flying Circus) club to further her passion.
As Fu and her friends begin their third and final year of high school, the photography club gets two new members; freshman Takumi Shindou and sophomore Suzune Maekawa. Thinking about what to do after graduation, Fu decides she wants to pursue a career combining photography and travelling. Afterwards, Fu's family tell Fu about the time she took a picture of her father and first learned about "tamayura" from him. Later, as Chihiro and Tomo pay a visit for the Bamboo Festival, announcing that they plan to study abroad after graduation, Fu is shocked to learn that Riho is planning to leave town. During the festival the next day, as the girls get to see Kanae as part of Sayomi's explorer's club, Fu is approached by Riho, who explains she is going to Tokyo to open a gallery with her friend. Thankful for everything Riho has done for her, Fu promises the carry on her torch in pusuit of a career in photography.

Years later, her brother Kou finds their father’s picture album, and as he flips through its pages, the pictures remind Fuu of all the happy memories of her father that she will carry with her forever. Now, as the shy Fuu enters her first year of high school, she once again takes up her father’s old camera, determined to take wonderful pictures that will bring joy and happiness to others.

Net Ghost PiPoPa is a Japanese anime series by Studio Hibari. It premiered on TV Tokyo on April 6, 2008. A manga version is also serialized in Kerokero Ace. It is also released in America in subbed form from December 2008 on Crunchyroll as Web Ghost PiPoPa. A spin-off game entitled Net Ghost PiPoPa: PiPoPa×DS@Big Adventure!!! was also released for the Nintendo DS. Pipopa is an onomatopoeia of computer beeps.
