La Usurpadora is a Mexican romantic drama telenovela produced by Salvador Mejia Alejandre and originally broadcast on Canal de las Estrellas from February 9 to July 24, 1998. It starred Gabriela Spanic and Fernando Colunga, and was based on La Intrusa, a novela originally broadcast in Venezuela which was its self a remake of Radio Caracas Television's 1971 telenovela La Usurpadora, which was starred by Marina Baura and Raúl Amundaray. This was one of the last telenovelas to feature Libertad Lamarque, who here portrayed the character of Abuela Piedad Bracho. The show's premise revolves around a pair of twin sisters who were separated when they were young, and as adults the younger sister is forced to act as a "replacement" for her wealthy twin who wants to temporarily leave her husband and his family to enjoy a life of luxury with multiple lovers. The telenovela had huge success in Mexico and has been exported and ported to various languages across the world.

La Intrusa is Mexican telenovela. It was written by Inés Rodena and Carlos Romero, and directed by Marta Luna and Patricia Reyes Spíndola. It lasted for 135 episodes, under the production of Ignacio Sada Madero, it was starred by the Venezuelan actress Gabriela Spanic, who again plays a double role as twins after La Usurpadora, and the Mexican actor Arturo Peniche and as the main villain Laura Zapata.

Contra viento y marea is a Mexican telenovela aired from April 25 until November 4, 2005. This was also the last acting role of Beatriz Sheridan, who died in 2006 of a heart attack.

It starred the popular Mexican actress Verónica Castro, who played the main character, "Rosa", co-starring with Guillermo Capetillo as her love interest and Laura Zapata as the villain of the story. It was produced and broadcast on Televisa in 1995–1996. The series is a remake of Los Ricos También Lloran, which featured Verónica Castro, Rogelio Guerra and Rocío Banquells. María la del barrio is considered one of the most popular and successful telenovelas ever, having been broadcast in over 180 countries and watched by more than two billion people.
