The film takes place in Slovenia today. Johan (44), is a factory worker, who dreams of a dignified life for himself and his family. His best friend Janez introduces him to Zlatko, who doesn’t take bluetouth away from his ear, and he offers him a quick profit, better job and a raise. Accepting the offer Johan robs his wife's mother, who cheers for Manchester United, and his life after that moves downhill.

Somewhere in Europe a Greek owes to a French, who owes to a Slovenian and she owes to an Italian, who owes money to the Greek. A German owes no one, she just wants to get a good night's sleep. The Brit is looking for an exit. The film is shot in one take with a crew and actors coming from over ten countries. Everyone speaks their language and they all understand each other.

The film "1/2" is a story about two neighbors separated by a thin wall. Klara’s daily life begins at 4:30 a.m. with the lifting of a creaking shutter, too loud radio news, and the vacuuming of an apartment. Nikša is losing his temper because of this. The human mind is sometimes capable of producing anything but reasonable verbal communication.
