A family from isolated village in Lika makes a good living out of American pension earned by their late granddad Djuradj and received by his widow Nedja. The very existence of a family is threatened when Nedja dies, but the head of the family comes up with a cunning plan.
Eight-year-old Zoran is the hero of this story set in Skopje during the German occupation of the city in World War II. Through his eyes, we experience all the cruelty, poverty and suffering of wartime. A love affair between his Macedonian mother and a German officer will help his family get through the hard times…

Sonja, a city girl from Zagreb, a vegetarian and a hardcore animal-rights activist, strongly opposes bullfighting in Dalmatinska zagora (Dalmatian Hinterland). People find this irritating and they conclude that no matter how passionately Sonja loves animals, she would never dare to stand in front of a bull. Bets are raised and Sonja faces a challenge in the form of Ante, known far and wide for his powers of persuasion.
Croatia has 718 islands and 467 cliffs. 67 islands are inhabited, and only nine of them have direct access to potable water. The remaining islands are dependent on water carrier ships. Our Daily Water is a Mediterranean comedy about one such ship and its crew.
Ana’s Poems is a story about the folk poet Ana Šebalj from the village of Komletinci near Vinkovci and her best friend Mandica. Let 3 (Flight 3) is a modern rock band from Rijeka, Croatia formed in 1987. The band frontmen are Damir "Mrle" Martinović and Zoran "Prlja" Prodanović. The band is popular in Croatia and other former Yugoslav republics due to their original approach to rock music and their obscene live performances. Sometimes provocative and vulgar lyrics and always shocking live performances with much nudity often polarise the Croatian public.
The sudden death of Oleg leads to the reunion of his group of long-lost friends who are back together after a long time. Their last goodbye to him turns into a trip down memory lane, to their years of youth before adult life hit them so hard.
A sequel to omnibus "Zagreb Stories" tells about love and families in present-day Zagreb.

In September 2004, Himzo Muratovic returned from the dead. Himzo turned up in a taxi in his Bosnian Muslim village, 12 years after he disappeared at the height of the Serb terror. After finding out by chance that his ex-girlfriend Mina’s mother died, Simon decides to steal her body to provoke cathartic processes in Mina. Mina hasn’t been in contact with her mother for years because of some dark family secrets. Simon plans to keep the body hidden for a few days and then revive it. He possesses the powers needed to do this. However, the body is stolen from Simon and he has great difficulty retrieving it. Unaware of Simon’s problems, Mina confronts her past and the emotional baggage she’s been carrying for years.

Siniša Mesjak, an arrogant and ambitious politician on the rise, finds himself in the middle of a scandal. To hide him from the public, the president appoints him as the commissioner of Croatian government on the furthest settled island Trečić, where he is tasked with the organization of local elections.
