Sathyaraj in a dual role. One role is of an IPS officer (Iyer) and the other is of a dada (Venkatachalapathy). The dada throughout the film has a dark skin and sports a bald head. Iyer believes that dadas and rowdies must be eliminated through encounters. But his father thinks one does not have the right to take any life. Dada Venkatachalapthy plants bombs at various places in the city and puts the blame on Muslims. Iyer takes Venkatachalapathy into custody. His sons Pasupathi and Gajapathi try to kill Iyer. Now Iyer's father turns against him and joins the villain. This sets off a chain of events leading to murders.

The plot is dramatically woven around the different roles donned by Satyaraj and the reason behind him taking up such roles. The movies begins with Manickam (Sathyaraj) kidnapping Divya (Susan), who is the girl friend of Mano (Abbas). Mano decides to rescue Divya, but fails to do so after repeated attempts. In every attempt he is foiled by Manickam through one of his many disguises. At this point Mano’s friend Aruchamy (Vivek) comes to help him in his dilemma. Aruchamy is a suspended police office and appoints Manickam to be his lorry cleaner. This way he and Mano trace out where Divya is held. Mano, realizing that it is Manickam who has been foiling his attempts to rescue Divya, goes to the place where she is kept hidden along with the police. This is where the plot twister starts

Palanisamy (Sathyaraj) is an uneducated man who dreams to marry a teacher and lives with his friend Dhandapani (Goundamani). Palanisamy falls in love with Hamsaveni (Sukanya) at first sight. Bhuvana ,A lonely girl who is parentless longs for a true love and parental care. Though Bhuvana is a grand daughter of rich businessman he has no time to spend time with the child. The child wants to travel in the Rickshaw along with other children and she wants to be with Rickshaw Mama (Rickshaw uncle) aka Raja who takes of care of kids with love. The Bhuvana is attempted to kidnap and Raja saves her. Bhuvana is very adamant to go to school in the Rickshaw and her care taker appoints the Bhuvana to drop in and pick up from school. Initially Rickshaw Man wonders why he is appointed for pick-up and drop when the child itself is rich enough but finds the girl is longing for love and affection. He takes care of the Bhuvana with full affection and care and looks after her like a father. Since Bhuvana is under his care the kidnappers are not able to take that girl.

Despite everything was against Arjun, the judge Ram Prakash feels that he is innocent. So Ram Prakash sentences that Arjun will be under house arrest in his isolated island.
