Ties Schenk

Monk is a warm, tragicomic and self-assertive film about an unusual family and strong family ties. Monk is a thirteen-year old hypochondriac, his sister, Joni, a rebellious adolescent, his mother, Maria, a flamboyant Spaniard and his father, Fabian, an artist at odds with himself. When the family suddenly has to depart for Spain to say goodbye to Maria's brother, who is terminally ill, this strains the family relations.

Every morning six people who live in the same street are taking the bus into town. Thanks to their own routine they survive each day, until one of them meets death.

Farouzi (12) is a dutch-arabian girl that works at a small fishers company. She is a dreamer who doesn't care about boys, especially those boys she works with. The only one she cares for is her loyal donkey: Sofiane. One day a misterios girl arives. The arrival of this girl triggers that Farouzi jumps on her donkey to find her luck...
