Samsaram Adhu Minsaram

Manju is an outspoken woman. She lives with her father, who tries to socially reform people. Belonging to a middle class family, she cannot provide a dowry for potential grooms. One day, Manju comes across an innovative advertisement where a groom is looking for a bride without any dowry. His family shocks Manju's father, but she is determined to make a life with them. Will she succeed?

Shekar's sister in the movie is played by Manorama (actress)who plays along with Visu's plot in the film. The conditions set out by S.V. Shekar are: the girl should be less educated than him, she should know how to dance, she should be able to cook non-vegetarian, speak Hindi, her family should not drag public into their internal affairs, she should agree to re-marry in case she is widowed, she should look appealing only to him but ugly to others. Visu marry's this girl to S.V. Shekar as a good deed, stemming from his own life in the movie of having caused suicide of his fiancee by not agreeing to marry her as she didn't meet conditions he set.

Ramkumar and Uma, a happily married couple, suddenly face the wrath of Ramkumar's mother when Uma fails to bear a child and suggests another marriage for her son.

Lawyer Uma takes up the case of Raman, a mechanic who has been framed for murder. She soon learns that the prime suspect is her own father, Vishwanath, whom she has always held in high esteem.
