Two peasants in rural Bang Kapi, Bangkok of Thailand in 1930s. Kwan and Riam are the son and daughter of rival village chiefs. They both loved and give to the vow to die in the river if their doesn't love each other. Until someday, Riam's father disapproves of the relationship. He wants his daughter to marry with the son of a nobleman. A tragedy of romance between their relationship begins like the wound.

Jan grows up with Aunt Wad, his stepmother, and he struggles to reconcile his guilt and longing with different women in his life, including a girl called Hyacinth, whom he adores, and later Madame Boonleung, his father’s lover who becomes a key to Jan’s sexual awakening.

A love story
Adapted from Japanese film called Rashomon, U Mong Pa Meung (The Outrage) takes place in a wood during Thai’s Lanna period where a mysterious murder happens. The story is told through three witnesses: a young monk, woodcutter and undertaker.
